find anything to be thankful for even if it’s brushing your teeth, taking a bath, a couple hours or any amount of sleep just to give your mind and body a rest. can’t walk far, but thankful I can get out of bed, go to the bathroom.. worked in nursing home for years and with others who were disabled.. I can turn myself over, feed myself.. don’t have bedsores.. my feet were nearly severed from car accident, the start of my benzo(psych meds)journey, they are pinned and screwed back together, lots of discomfort/ inflammation just walking short distances..nose was broken but I can breathe on my own, front teeth knocked out but I can eat.. my home is not the best but I have shelter from the heat, cold, rain, snow…my food is not the best but I don’t go without and I’m not eating bugs or worms.. don’t look at what you don’t have or can’t do.. be grateful for what you do have and can do..
